I really want to post as many of my favorite photo sessions from Class 2010 before we get into 2011. It just feels right if you know what I mean.
My senior session with Angela was rather special because of all the cool wardrobe that Angela brought with her. I try my best to instruct all my Seniors and their Parents on what makes for good portrait wardrobe. Angela was a dream when it came to being creative with wardrobe choices and variety.
Studio Sparks works a little different than most senior portrait photographers. You see… most Photo Studios click pictures for 10-20 minutes. For some reason these studios think all a senior wants is a couple of headshots to make a handful of wallets prints. OMG that is SO wrong !!! We learned long ago that Seniors.. especially the girls… want really cool & creative photo sessions just like a “shoot with a fashion model”. Of course why not… We photograph models just about every week and it just made sense. This means we work with our Seniors and other Models for 2-4 hours. We click hundreds of poses from full length, medium head and shoulder, close-ups, actions shots, and even some funny faces and wild poses. This give us time to get to know our subject and to discover their best poses and facial expressions. There is not shortcut for this and our photos speak for themselves. We work very hard to make sure all of our clients look fantastic! Then to top it off…we do some very cool “darkroom” magic in the computer. I guarantee photo sessions like this one of Angela are an “experience” and a work of Art.
